data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In 2014, the Mental Health Commission of Canada launched the three year <a href=\"https:\/\/mentalhealthcommission.ca\/case-study-research-project\/\">Case Study Research Project<\/a> to identify promising practices for implementing the <em>National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace.<\/em><\/p><ul><li>Over 40 organizations representing various industries, sizes and sectors participated in the study<\/li><li>250,000+ employees were affected by the implementation of the <em>Standard<\/em><\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Taking positive action by implementing the <em>Standard<\/em><\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Reasons why participating employers implemented the <em>Standard<\/em>:<ul><li>91% stated it is the <em>right thing to do<\/em><\/li><li>84% stated <em>protecting the psychological health of employees is important <\/em>to them<\/li><li>47% found the <em>Standard<\/em> to be an effective tool to <em>manage costs<\/em><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Top three actions taken by employers:<ul><li>Implementing respectful workplace policies<\/li><li>Providing employee and family assistance programs and services<\/li><li>Enhancing awareness of mental health among workers<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Nine promising practices have been identified, based on the experience of the 40 organizations:<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section
