COVID-19 has disproportionately impacted older adults in Canada, with most COVID-19 deaths occurring in long-term care homes. COVID\u2019s most obvious effects have been on physical health, but the pandemic has also had a profound impact on the mental health of older adults. It is crucial that the health care system responds to the current and future mental health impacts of this pandemic by working towards an integrated service system that promotes wellbeing, incorporates prevention and early intervention, and delivers high-quality care through a range of health, mental health, and social services.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This resource was published in 2021.
